Tramways

In late May 2017 Hong Kong Tramways launched a new logo based on an image of double-decker tram with a bauhinia leaf background.
Trams, known as 'ding-ding' trams, have been running on Hong Kong Island since 1904. The first trams were all single-deck; double-deck trams ran in 1912. Picking up power from overhead cables trams can be be driven from either end, like the Star Ferry.
Hong Kong Tramways operates 6 main routes running between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan. It runs 164 tramcars, the world’s largest fleet of double-deckers, and transports about 200,000 passengers a day.
